Elm Street Bakery is a charming bakery and coffee bar located in historic downtown El Dorado, Arkansas. The Garrett Building was built in 1897 for the United States Postal Service. The Post Office occupied the building until the oil boom in 1921.
Hall’s Pharmacy, an idyllic, local, 20th century pharmacy was located in the building until 2006.
Recent renovations to the building have preserved the old-time grace of the 114-year-old stamped metal ceiling, the marble soda fountain, and the mahogany apothecary cabinets with etched glass. The atmosphere at Elm Street Bakery is combines classic southern charm and hospitality with contemporary elegance and design.
Sandwiches, salads, soups, soft drinks, tea and coffee are served Monday – Saturday between the hours of 6 AM and 7 PM. The all-you-can-eat salad bar is a popular local favorite.
