new cupid

Kicking off on Saturday June 23rd featuring Dance Innovator and double platinum hip-hop artist, NEW CUPID. New Cupid is a world-wide performer, double platinum recording artist and creator of the global phenomenon "The Cupid Shuffle". In 2007, new cupid shuffled his way into the hearts of millions with the up-tempo party song "cupid shuffle," which inspired the popular dance craze. From appearances on nationally syndicated TV and radio talk shows such as Dr. OZ, Steve Harvey and Tom Joyner to breaking the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest line dance assembled with over 17k people, cupid has virtually reshaped dance music and created an entirely new genre.

Jason D. Williams

Continuing Saturday July 28th featuring local son and legendary Sun Records star, JASON D. WILLIAMS. Williams has spent a lifetime behind the piano connecting with country and rock 'n' roll greats while creating a persona that's 100 percent original. He is a recording artist for RCA and Sun Records and has been since the early 80s. At the age of 16, Williams left his hometown of El Dorado, to perform and live in Memphis and begin his solo career. After several years, he released his first album, "Tore Up," and has been on the road ever since.

Williams is also no stranger to motion pictures, performing in multiple music themed motion pictures and numerous television appearances and various shows on MTV, VH1 and CMT. A wild man onstage, Jason accredits influences like Jerry Lee Lewis, Moon Mullican, Memphis Slim and Al Jolson, for helping to develop his vast repertoire and seemingly endless energy. “I’ve always welcomed the comparisons; my influences were some of the greatest entertainers ever to be seen.” Jason continues to tour more than 160 shows a year.

William Michael Morgan

The final night, Saturday, August 25th, featuring Warner Nashville Recording Artist, William Michael Morgan. Most folks are still trying to figure themselves out at 22. Morgan knew where he was going from an early age and his parents were always there for him. In the ninth grade, Morgan put together a band of middle-aged musicians who shared his love of Keith Whitley, Merle Haggard and George Jones.

The tall, easy-going, unfailingly polite 22-year-old from Vicksburg, Mississippi, has the look you’d hope for in a young entertainer and the stature to wear a black cowboy hat, a symbol that stands for something in the country music world. And he’s certainly got the chops as an award-winning young performer, who earned recording and publishing deals before turning 20.
